The Inter-Municipal Agency of the Western Countryside of Thessaloniki 'NEFELI' was established in 1995 as a Vocational Training Center. This is a business of the Municipalities of the Western Countryside of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki and more specifically of the ‘Kallikratika’ Municipalities of Delta, Chalkidona and Oreokastro. The then Mayors and the presidents of the Communities of the Western Countryside of Thessaloniki, realized the need to create a structure that meets the demands of the residents of the area for employment promotion and participation in lifelong learning programs. For this reason, is the first and only K.E.K. of the area.
