On May 2, 2017, the implementation of the Operation "Community Center of the Municipality of Delta with ROMA annex" began by the Inter-Municipal Agency of the Western Countryside of Thessaloniki "Nefeli".

The "Community Center of the Municipality of Delta with ROMA annex " is a new structure with innovative features, in terms of its services, which operates in addition to the social service of the Municipality.

The aim of the “Community Center of the Municipality of Delta with ROMA annex" is to provide the citizens of the Delta Municipality with a set of social services aimed at combating poverty, social exclusion, all forms of discrimination and enhancing employment in the region.

This new structure mainly offers counseling services to vulnerable groups for social integration and finding work, psychological support to citizens living in conditions of poverty and social exclusion,  information on health issues, development of activities for children, activation of volunteering to take initiatives on social and environmental issues.

The Community Center is housed at the address El. Venizelou no. 6 in Sindos and is staffed by a Social Worker, a Sociologist and a Psychologist.

While,the ROMA annex is housed in the Municipal Community of Kymina and is staffed by a Psychologist, an Economist, a Teacher, a Nurse, a Mediator and an Employment Consultant. Another Roma annex was recently approved with exactly the same staff.

Both structures operate five days a week from Monday to Friday, on an eight-hour basis and specifically, from 8.00 am - 16.00 pm.

The Operation "Community Center of Delta Municipality with Roma annex" has a total Budget of € 1,572,480.00 and is co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund).
